🌱 A Tiny Miracle: How Your Baby Grows in the Womb
From the moment you see those two pink lines, everything changes. It’s truly amazing how much happens inside the womb before you even hold your baby in your arms. At Duper DuDu, we love celebrating these tiny milestones because every heartbeat, kick, and hiccup is part of your baby’s incredible journey.
👶 First Trimester (Weeks 1–12)
The very beginning is pure magic. In the first few weeks, your baby goes from a tiny bundle of cells to something with a heartbeat! By week 8, tiny arms and legs begin to form, and facial features like eyes and ears start taking shape. Even though they’re only about the size of a plum, they’re growing faster than ever.
🤰 Second Trimester (Weeks 13–27)
This is when many parents get to see their baby for the first time during an ultrasound. Inside the womb, your baby’s bones are hardening, fingerprints are developing, and they’re starting to practise little movements: kicks, stretches, and even sucking their thumb. You might start feeling those flutters, which is always such an exciting milestone!
💛 Third Trimester (Weeks 28–40)
The final stretch! Your baby’s brain, lungs, and organs mature, and they gain precious fat to stay warm once they arrive. Their senses sharpen too, they can hear your voice, your heartbeat, and even respond to light and sound. Many babies settle into their birth position in these weeks, getting ready for their big debut.
🌿 Your Connection Grows Too
Your baby’s physical growth is incredible, but so is the bond you’re building. Talking, reading, or singing to your baby can be calming for both of you, they can hear you and may even recognise your voice when they’re born. It’s a beautiful reminder that connection starts long before your first cuddle.
